This is a book review of General Relativity, Cosmology and Astrophysics edited by Jiří Bičák and Tomáš Ledvinka. the proceedings of a conference held June 25--29, 2012, in Prague to celebrate the centenary of Einstein's brief but productive presence there, but only of the invited talks, presented in plenary sessions. The articles based on contributed talks and posters are gathered in another volume. In contrast to those, these are mostly historical and/or review articles and are thus much more accessible, although a few are rather technical as well. Although of course the emphasis is on General Relativity (gravitational waves, pulsars, black holes, etc), closely related fields such as quantum gravity and more distantly related ones such inflation are also covered. The book provides an interesting and accessible overview of the current state of research in General Relativity, about 100 years after Einstein started working on it, presented by leading scientists in the field.
